Brief synopsis:

Autumn, Shay, and Logan are all teenagers, and each have lost someone to death. Autumn’s friend, Tavia, died in a car wreck. Logan’s ex-boyfriend, Bram, has overdosed and therefore committed suicide. Shay’s twin sister, Sasha, dies after a long bout with leukemia. These three teens tell their stories about how death has, is, and will effect them in this world filled with technology.

My thoughts:

I have to admit that while I think the writing in this book is wonderful and REAL, I had a hard time reading it. Not because it is not good, but because the subject matter is just not my kind of escape. I cared about the characters, rooted for them, and feel that YA readers could learn plenty about how people deal with grief, guilt, and the process of losing a loved one. The three characters and their different points of view are interesting and make for a powerful read. How do you mend a broken heart? How do you go on when you think you can not? How do you survive a death and eventually become strong or maybe even stronger afterwards? These are great questions to ponder while reading this book.
